In 2016, something remarkable happened. Something born from a need so raw, so deeply felt, it demanded action. That something was The Lime.
2016
The Spark
At WeWork, a small idea took shape: people were craving real connection and news ways to gather. What emerged was the desire for a multicultural platform where people could show up fully as themselves, without performance.
2016 - 2017
The Birth of The Lime
“Lime”, a Trinidinan term for a relaxed, joyful gathering, became the foundation. It was built to honor people as they are, creating space to arrive without judgement and without having to soften who you are.
A place where you didn't have to present your identity in digestible bites.
2017 - 2020
The Lime Comes Alive
What began as gatherings evolved into a growing collective. Panels, performances, and music brought people together in ways that felt both intimate and intentional.
The Lime evolved into an experience where artists, creatives, and cultural leaders shared stages with emerging voices, shaping experiences that blurred the line between conversation, celebration, and community.
2020
Pause
When the world stopped, The Lime paused with it. The isolation made something clear: connection is essential for emotional and spiritual well-being.
2020 - 2022
Virtual Community
During this period, we brought people together across the world through virtual community experiences. These included meditation sessions, journal clubs, and DJ sets that created space for grounding, reflection, and shared energy in a time of distance.
2025 - Present
Culture Lime Emerges
From that pause, Culture Lime was born as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We exist to restore human connection through culturally driven experiences rooted in music, wellness, and creative expression.
We begin in New York City, building experiences that bring people together and strengthening communities through intentional gathering, with a vision to grow globally.
Community isn't a luxury. It's a necessity.

The story of The Lime is our story. It's the story of what happens when we show up for each other, when we create spaces where everyone belongs, and when we fight against the isolation that seeks to divide us.
Traveling worldwide, I've seen that purposeful gatherings build bridges. We start in NYC, crafting experiences rooted in culture and humanity. Our aim is to expand globally, connecting communities craving authenticity and joy.
