who we are
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit uniting communities and creatives through cultural experiences by hosing accessible live events that are unmistakably ours: interactive, celebratory, and alive.
why we exist ?
“We started Culture Lime because we wanted to create more intentional ways to experience culture and community. We believe how we gather, create, and connect matters.
-Wallace”
Culture comes alive when people gather to share their stories, music, art, and care for one another. “Lime”, a Trinidadian word meaning to gather, reflects how community is built through presence, openness, and shared experience.
We bring people together through creative, cultural, and wellness experiences to make room for connection, discovery, and giving back to the communities we’re part of.
At WeWork, we saw people from different worlds connecting, but there was an opportunity to bring more cultures and perspectives into the mix. We wanted to create a place where people could experience culture differently and see more of themselves represented. That became The Lime.
2016
The Beginning
From that pause, Culture Lime was born as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. What started as The Lime grew into a bigger idea…creating ways for people to experience culture, connect with each other, and give back to the communities we’re part of.
2025 - Present
2016 - 2020
The Lime comes alive
That led to a bi-monthly gathering that brought together creatives and entrepreneurs featured on The Voice, The Profit, and Culture Con. The opportunities that came out of those experiences were often the best part.
2020 - 2022
Community continues virtually
When everything moved online, we took The Lime with us bringing people together through mediation, journal clubs, and DJ sets when we couldn’t gather in person.
