Culture Lime Welcomes Marti to The Lime

Marti is a Washington, D.C.–bred, New York–based singer, songwriter, and multidisciplinary artist whose work lives at the intersection of emotional truth, sensuality, and self-liberation. Known for her noir-tinged R&B and blues-rooted songwriting, she creates music that explores vulnerability, desire, grief, and healing, giving language to feelings that are deeply lived but rarely spoken.

Throughout her career, Marti has used art as a tool for emotional processing and connection. Through intimate recordings, live performances, and candid public conversations about love, boundaries, grief, and self-worth, she invites audiences to be honest about what it means to live inside their bodies and minds. Her work has been featured in outlets such as Dazed, PAPER, and i-D, recognizing not only her sound but her commitment to leading with authenticity.

Beyond music, Marti is a community-centered creative who uses her platform to support and uplift marginalized voices, including sex workers, abuse survivors, and queer creatives. She centers dignity, safety, and agency in every space she enters. For Marti, mental health is inseparable from creativity. It lives in the body, the voice, and the stories we tell ourselves and each other.

Through her work, Marti continues to create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and less alone.
